"Part of an architectural frieze, possibly 'Arcade enclosing Mosque and Minarets', by William De Morgan and Halsey Ricardo, early Fulham Period, 1888-1897. A trial piece originally in 3 panels, this design was the largest of those created for the P&O Line of steamships.The finished panel was installed in the liner 'Arabia', but was lost when the ship was sunk or scrapped duing the First World War. 18.5 x 20 inches (approx.) |
